Marco Cioni is a Principal Data Engineering Consultant and founder of Sobryte Solutions, specialising in the stabilisation, optimisation and evolution of business-critical data platforms.
With over 20 years’ experience across financial services, fintech, and consultancy-led environments, he has held senior engineering roles at organisations including Revolut, Simon-Kucher & Partners, and C. Hoare & Co — the UK’s oldest privately owned bank — where he leads initiatives to modernise regulatory reporting and strengthen core data platforms.
His work combines deep SQL Server expertise with modern Azure and Databricks-based platform delivery. This includes designing lakehouse architectures, implementing governed data access models, and building production-grade pipelines aligned to operational and regulatory requirements.
